Vynagrip Industrial Anti-Slip

The Problem

A heavy engineering site in South Yorkshire had a issue with cutting fluids used in their metal processing area. This meant fluids including oil and grease were present on the production floor, creating very slippery floor conditions near to workbenches and machinery. Also Howco Whitham were concerned about the prolonged periods of time employees were standing on hard surfaces,  so they needed to source a permanent solution not only to help prevent slips, trips and falls but also to provide an anti-fatigue system as well.

The Solution

Working closely with the distributor to find the most suitable matting for Howco Whitham’s heavy engineering environment, after looking and testing a few options Vynagrip was chosen and installed around the machinery as well as along the whole steel processing lines.

Vynagrip is manufactured from PVC, which makes it non-porous and ideal for wet conditions. It is impermeable to oils, acids and chemicals so environments where you have production waste the open mesh construction is ideal for allowing the fluids to drain, whilst the heavy cut surface profile provides excellent anti-slip. Again the the two layer construction of Vynagrip is the perfect solution as it provides comfort underfoot due to its cushioning effect, so perfect for solving your slip resistant and anti-fatigue problems.
