In West Sussex, St Andrews CE Primary School took over an existing educational site with temporary classrooms provided by the council to minimise the disruption to its students. Over 400 school children attended each day, so there was an urgent requirement for some form of barrier matting to tackle the dirt and debris being tracked inside and to also help reduce the cleaning costs.
✔️ Removes dirt, cleans and dries foot and wheeled traffic at entry points
✔️ Reduces ongoing labour and maintenance costs
✔️ No templates required, just fit
✔️ Withstands heavy foot fall
✔️ Available cut to size or in full rolls up to 5 to 10 metres
✔️ Can be rolled up easily for cleaning and maintenance
St Andrews required a temporary measure for their entrances both internally and externally, so two products were offered and installed from the Frontrunner range to provide a primary and secondary system. Externally Frontrunner’s Entry matting was used with its aggressive tread pattern it tackles the initial scraping task removing as much dirt and debris from shoe and wheeled traffic as possible trapping it. Internally, Frontrunner Plus was installed with its highly absorbent carpet inserts and heavy duty construction it also scraped but any moisture was removed too.
The method of a primary and secondary barrier system helps reduce cleaning, and will prolong the life of floor finishes and coverings keeping them looking good for longer. Thought to be a temporary measure initially, the Frontrunner package proved to be so successful that the local council and architects changed their original specification, and Frontrunner was specified for all new entrances to the new school.
Frontrunner Plus was specifically designed as an entrance mat with absorbent properties which reduces tracked dirt and moisture too.
