The Problem

The luxury Greek hotel and resort in Greece called the Amanzoe, serves hundreds of guests each day from their busy bars and kitchens. But there was a problem, the hotel management identified and quickly came to the conclusion that service was being slowed down by the tiled substrate. It became very slippery when wet and an anti-slip system that could disperse any liquids or dissipate spilt or dropped food waste while maintaining a high level of slip-resistance was required. A regular daily cleaning regime meant a matting solution needed to be handled and rolled easily.

The Solution

As a busy kitchen with many spillages, it was urgent a solution could be found that would cope with large amounts of liquid and unwanted food waste. Flexigrid was the perfect matting solution as it was heavy duty and constructed with an open mesh design with an excellent slip-resistant surface. This meant with its heavy embossed diamond surface it delivered not only a high slip-resistance but due to its elevated height at 19mm any liquids can be dispersed and drained quickly.

Flexigrid is a perfect anti-fatigue matting solution when staff are on their feet all day, the two layer design helps boost productivity reducing fatigue with comfortable cushioning underfoot. A one piece floor covering which can be loose laid and be easily rolled up to facilitate a quick and easy cleaning regime.
