The Magnolia Independent School District is located just outside Houston, Texas, and manages 17 public schools attended by more than 10,000 students. The district’s indoor swimming pool is used by more than 300 of those students each day, as well as members of the local community. The pool’s management had become concerned that high traffic coupled with wet surrounds could result in injury, and so wanted to install walkways that allowed safe access for everyone using the pool. The venue is also used for student swim-meets, so management were keen that the matting coordinate with the school colours.
